More is not always better inside of an IEP.

Overcomplicating the special education process steals a teacher's joy of teaching, confuses a parent, and stresses out the child.

Let's decide, as a team, to prioritize IEP goals that make sense for a child's future. Get the baseline data. Make our best educated estimation of where the child can be in 12 months with that goal. Then put the supports & people in place in the child's day to make it happen.

That's it! Communicate regularly. Adjust when needed. And... stop trying to be all fancy with education jargon & outdated IEP strategies.
