This season of celebration in school can lead to more children feeling isolated, lonely and left out.
Let's make sure that your child or students don't feel this way!
Ask yourself these questions and then get creative in planning an inclusive experience for everyone... this is the best gift you can give a child. A feeling of belonging, for exactly who they are.
I don't have many negative experience as a special needs sibling, but seeing my brother excluded from school activities was one of the worst. It was a main motivator for me to become a special education teacher. I had no idea 20+ years ago I would be working with hundreds of teachers, parents and therapists inside of the Inner Circle, helping to design inclusive experiences. And... I wouldn't have it any other way.
If you're struggling to create meaningful inclusion, don't hesitate to reach out and ask for help.
