I'm not sure if you are IN or OUT when it comes to participating in Extended School Year (ESY - Summer School), but what if you could do what Tiffany did and get REAL help for your child and families you know!
Last week I wrote 3 very specific ESY response letters to help Master IEP Coaches help families they work with (or their own family!) get more help over the summer.
Tiffany took the letter templates and customized it for a family she works with and was able to get the school to agree to RESEARCH BASED READING help and DIRECT BEHAVIORAL INSTRUCTION during the summer... WITHOUT FIGHTING.
Now, I can't guarantee if you use these ESY letters that you'll get everything you ask for, but Tiffany isn't the only Master IEP Coach® who is getting more than the standard program over the summer.
One thing I do know for sure... if you don't ask for more, then nobody knows you want more.
I also know that if you start a high conflict conversation with your district, summer will fly by before you get to a resolution.
So knowing WHAT to ask for and HOW to ask for it, that's the sweet spot of working with your district to individualize your summer supports... even through the virus crisis, remote learning and school buildings still shut down.
The next Master IEP Coach Mentorship starts on June 22nd, but bonus coaching (including how to ask for more this summer and the same letter templates Tiffany used) is happening right now.
P.S. Parents, Teachers, Therapists, Admins... you're all welcome inside of the Master IEP Coach mentorship. You can help your own family, your students, your school or even start your own coaching practice to help your community. Learn More
